Book #2 of the Anthology is especially visual...not only are there iconic photos of various population groups & architectural structures but wonderful photos of SoCal's bird life. The variety of viewpoints and time frames range from the first indigenous residents with their fire-based nature management, to enclaves of mustard farmers, Hollywood's child stars, to plumbers in the 2000's (who'd have thought?). Such a good read.
