Book 2 picks up rights where Book 1 ends with Clara at a mountaintop fortress to learn about her new-found magic from two very old but spry magician brothers. Her fire magic was so strong that even the brothers could not contain it; she had to figure out how to on the spot before they all perished--trial by fire to the Nth degree! As she is hurriedly trying to learn her abilities before the dark forces attach their stronghold, she finds inside her self a fifth element. With it, it binds the other four, thus creating the very strong magical five-petal knot. The other magicians are awed with what she has done; none of them have ever heard of a fifth element before (and that's where they leave it, just calling it the fifth one).The story moves at a good pace and kept me reading longer than I intended each night. Nicely done, Lucia Ashta. It has more stuff, both good and bad, going on than in the first book. You can feel their urgency as things are heading toward a magical battle.Another Big Plus for me was: I did not notice and spelling or grammar issues within this book--Fantastic!She does have a request in the beginning of the book to email her if you find any. I find that a sign of an author who really wants her works to shine.The story also has a 'proper' ending IMO. The major points are wrapped up and the stage is set for Clara's next steps in this magical world.
Clara's saga of becoming a magic-user continues! This book is even better than the first one. In this one, Clara finds out who she is and discovers things about magic that no one else knows about. She finds out that there is a fifth element to magic and she finds that it is the element that is the basis of the other four and it ties them all together. A great threat is coming against the castle and Clara begins to learn how to defend herself and the others with her. The confrontation at the castle gates between light and dark magic, and a continuation that takes place under the earth. stretch Clara to her limits. The descriptions of what is going on inside Clara's heart, mind and emotions are beautifully written, well thought out, and make sense in the context of the story.
The Five Petal Knot is the second book in the Witching World series. Ms Ashta continues from where she ended Book 1. She has continued to develop her magical world and well as developing the characters into interesting, loveable individual to a level that fits this second book. Ms. Ashta has the unique ability to bring her stories to life with the written word. You do not feel like you're reading about this story but that you are a part of the story experiencing the emotion and what is happening. There were many twists and turns, some I saw coming others that caught me by surprise. I am excited to begin the next book in this adventure. I highly recommend this phenomenal story and series. Don't pass it by. I received a copy and this is my voluntary and hones review.
Book two continues with Clara having amazing results with her magic which she does not always control. She is slowly developing and stepping into her powers. The story flows at a good pace not too action packed but full of creativity and imagination. The plot continues with its numerous twists and turns and with fascinating elements of magic and supernatural creatures. The writing is remarkable and creative. The different characters and personalities are still likeable and new ones are introduced. Curious to see where book three will take us.
AMAZING!!! I love spiritual books but every now and then I want to put the pen down (I do a lot of underling) and just read to read!! This is when I pick up one of Lucia's books. Lucia has this incredible talent to weave a fiction story with unique characters and STILL bring out some spiritual lessons in the plot! I could not put the book down!! If you want to read a superb story line with incredible characters woven in with an amazing plot that still gives you some spiritual lessons.. you've got to pick up one of Lucia's books!! I've read two of her series.. and now I'm going back to read the others. Kudos Lucia!!
Clara and Marcelo are just awesome together and Lancelot I just love him. I love seeing Clara grow into her powers the way she is. Lucia has created a great set of characters the good ones and the bad ones The Five Petal Know has some great twists and I cant wait to read book 3
I'm speechless! I couldn't get enough of this story. Clara and Marcelo are perfect together. I have been rooting for them from the first they met. It is awesome how Claras confidence grows in herself and as it grows so too does her magic. The magic is in all of us we just have to listen for it
Omg ,this book had me hanging on the edge of my seat. Clara is coming into her powers. She has to learn to control them. With the enemy knocking down the door . Will she defeat them or die trying?This book had me laughing, crying and all around glued to the page.
